Jack M. Chinsky, Ph.D.
Dr. Jack Chinsky has been practicing psychology for over thirty years and was a tenured professor at the University of Connecticut, Psychology Department, specializing in clinical and community psychology for twenty-six years. His clinical practice focuses on adult couples and individual therapy. His main area of expertise is in marital therapy and his practical and effective approach with straightforward, direct communication greatly benefits his clients. Dr. Chinsky also worked with top-level executives to improve corporate practices as a consultant, and therefore utilizes a unique solution-oriented approach. Dr. Chinsky accepts most insurance plans and additionally works on an out-of-pocket basis.
Robin Surwilo, Ph.D.
Dr. Robin Surwilo is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in child, adolescent and family work. She frequently works with college-age students and has additional expertise in sport psychology with elite, Division I and professional athletes working on mental skills training, peak performance and clinical issues. She completed her doctoral degree at the University of Connecticut with intensive child and family clinical work at Tulane University School of Medicine. She uses a cognitive-behavioral, relational approach to treatment and works with individual and families to help them communicate better and address presenting problems. She runs groups for adolescents, tackling a variety of current teen issues and trends in mental health. Dr. Surwilo accepts Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, Aetna insurance, HUSKY insurance, and works on an out-of-pocket basis.
Stephanie Morgan, M.S.
Stephanie Morgan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned her B.S. in Family Studies at Central Michigan University and her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Central Connecticut State University. She has worked in various school systems over the past five years, counseling individual children and teens who face difficult issues in challenging settings such as the inner city. She has facilitated group work and family therapy. Her clinical focus has included social skills training along with problem-solving, conflict-resolution curriculum. Stephanie feels comfortable working with all stages across the lifespan, and is specifically trained with couples and family work. Currently, she accepts Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, United Behavioral Health and State Insurance. She also works on an out- of-pocket, sliding fee basis.
Erica Y. Wells, MS Ed., LPC
Erica Wells is a Licensed Professional Counselor who completed her Bachelors degree in Psychology and Criminology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and her Masters degree in Counseling at McDaniel College. Although she enjoys working with clients of all ages, Erica has extensive experience working with adolescents, teens and young adults. Since 2006, she has worked collaboratively with her clients to improve their quality of life through individual, group and family therapy. She uses a Cognitive-Behavioral approach but incorporates other modalities based on the needs of the client. Currently, Erica accepts Husky, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna and Aetna. She also offers a sliding scale and works on an out-of-pocket basis.
Cindi Gillette, LCSW
Cindi Gillette is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who completed her undergraduate studies in Social Work at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT and her Master's in Social Work at Fordham University in Westchester, NY. Since 2004, Cindi has worked in several school systems providing individual and group counseling for students in grades K-12. She currently works in a High School Special Education Program with emotionally troubled adolescents. In 2015, Cindi joined EBC as a part-time clinician and sees clients in the afternoons and evenings. She uses a holistic approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to the client’s individual needs. She feels competent in providing individual, family, and couple's counseling for clients of diverse ages. At this time, Cindi is now accepting Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, HUSKY, and works on an out-of-pocket basis. She is pending approval on other insurance panels.
Carissa Capozzi, LCSW
Carissa Capozzi is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who completed her undergraduate studies in sociology at the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT and her Master's in Social Work at the UCONN School of Social Work in West Hartford, CT. In addition to her Master's Degree, Carissa also has her Sixth-Year Degree in School Counseling, and a Specialization in Positive Behavior Support from UCONN's NEAG School of Education in Storrs, CT. Carissa has been working in the school setting to provide individual and group counseling for students in grades K-12 since 2005. In 2013, Carissa joined EBC as a part-time clinician. She enjoys providing individual, family, and couple's counseling for clients of diverse ages and backgrounds. At this time, Carissa accepts Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and will also work with clients on an out-of-pocket basis.
