Jack M. Chinsky, Ph.D.

Dr. Jack Chinsky has been practicing psychology for over thirty years and was a tenured professor at the University of Connecticut, Psychology Department, specializing in clinical and community psychology for twenty-six years. His clinical practice focuses on adult couples and individual therapy. His main area of expertise is in marital therapy and his practical and effective approach with straightforward, direct communication greatly benefits his clients. Dr. Chinsky also worked with top-level executives to improve corporate practices as a consultant, and therefore utilizes a unique solution-oriented approach. Dr. Chinsky accepts most insurance plans and additionally works on an out-of-pocket basis.

Robin Surwilo, Ph.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Robin Surwilo is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist specializing in child, adolescent and family work. She works with college-age students and has additional expertise in sport psychology with elite, Division I and professional athletes working on mental skills training, peak performance and clinical issues. She completed her doctoral degree at the University of Connecticut with intensive child and family clinical work at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Surwilo has a growing number of clients dealing with mid-life transitions including retirement, loss of job/income, care for or loss of parent/s or spouse, menopause, medical diagnoses, empty nest/failure to launch of adult children, and financial issues. She uses a cognitive-behavioral, relational approach to treatment and works with individual and families to help them communicate better and address presenting problems. Dr. Surwilo accepts Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance, Aetna insurance, HUSKY insurance, and works on an out-of-pocket basis.

Tim Jeski, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Tim Jeski is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who completed his undergraduate studies in Psychology and Cognitive Science at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut, and received his Master’s in Social Work at The University of Connecticut School of Social Work. Since 1994, Tim has extensive experience working in hospitals and Therapeutic Day Schools, providing individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, behavior management and shaping, and enhancing social skills and functioning for children, adolescents, and young adults. Tim has also worked in Partial Hospital and after-school Programs facilitating groups for children, adolescents and their families. In addition, he has extensive experience facilitating substance abuse prevention groups with adolescents, adults, and often those with co-occurring disorders. Tim has also worked as part of an emergency assessment and mental health diagnostic team within the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center Emergency department performing mental health assessments on incoming patients. He employs an integrated, therapeutic approach tailored specifically to the needs of his clients, and provides treatment options for individuals, families, and couples within a diverse range of ages. Tim accepts Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Husky as an in-network provider, and works on an out of pocket basis as well.

Stephanie Morgan, M.S.
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Stephanie Morgan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who earned her B.S. in Family Studies at Central Michigan University and her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Central Connecticut State University. She has worked in various school systems over the past five years, counseling individual children and teens who face difficult issues in challenging settings such as the inner city. She has facilitated group work and family therapy. Her clinical focus has included social skills training along with problem-solving, conflict-resolution curriculum. Stephanie feels comfortable working with all stages across the lifespan, and is specifically trained with couples and family work. Currently, she accepts Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Aetna, United Behavioral Health and State Insurance. She also works on an out- of-pocket, sliding fee basis.
